Dr. Van Zant and his wife, Melinda, have four children - Ariel, Tyler, Travis and Garrett – and two grandchildren. They are members of the Christ Covenant Church and enjoy family camping trips, football, soccer and ACC basketball. Dr. Van Zant joined Nash OB-GYN Associates in 1998.

Dr. Dennis Van Zant to continue his dedicated service to women's health in Nash County.
Starting in January 2024, Dr. Van Zant will focus exclusively on gynecology care. He will be available for gynecologic appointments and perform gynecologic surgeries at the office and at UNC Health Nash.
Dr. Van Zant is not retiring completely, however, it’s important to note that Dr. Van Zant will no longer see pregnant (obstetric) patients after Friday, December 29th, 2023. He will not be accepting any new obstetric patients at this time. If you are a current obstetric patient, you will continue seeing him until December 2023. His decision to transition to gynecologic care reflects his expertise and commitment to providing specialized care.
Having been a part of Nash Ob-Gyn since 1998, Dr. Van Zant has delivered numerous babies and supported countless mothers throughout their pregnancies. He has been and will continue to be a valued provider in the office.
If you are an existing patient of Dr. Van Zant, we want you to know that he will still be available to address your gynecologic needs. He remains committed to providing high-quality care and is dedicated to women's health in Nash County.
